The event will showcase interesting career areas in Data Science: Finance and Consulting.
Students will also be tasked to develop and showcase their skills by solving a Data Science challenge.

Challenges

You will given the choice of a problem brief from 3 disciplines: Economics, Finance,and the Social Sciences. The task is open-ended, allowing for free-form exploration, and an opportunity to showcase your data science skills - but within the 24 hours! FAQ

Students of UK universities from all backgrounds and skill levels.

Yes! However, you must attend at least one workshop and one panel session over the 2 days, and register your team for the datathon in order to receive a £10 Deliveroo voucher (free food!)

Participation in the datathon is optional but highly encouraged. In addition to hands on exposure to the data science process, it could be something you add to your portfolio or talk about in your interviews!
